- All documents must be provided in English. Documents not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation.
- You are required to provide certified proof of identification strictly a valid passport or national identity document and documents relating to ownership, hire, lease or partnership of the remotely piloted aircraft, either local or foreign.
- An application for the issuing or renewal of a letter of approval shall be made to the Authority in writing and shall be accompanied by an appropriate fee specified in the Second Schedule of SI 271 of 2018.
- CAAZ will use the information collected in this form for purposes associated with performing its functions under civil aviation legislation and other Zimbabwean laws.
- No remotely piloted aircraft shall be registered in Zimbabwe, unless such remotely piloted aircraft has been issued with a letter of approval by the Authority.
- No remotely piloted aircraft (drone) shall be operated within Zimbabwe, unless it has been registered by the Authority

- All statements in this application are true and correct in every particular and that I have read and understood all provisions of the Civil Aviation (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) Regulations, SI 271 of 2018 as amended currently in force.
- I consent to CAAZ using and disclosing my personal information in accordance with CAAZ Policies and Zimbabwean laws including exchanging the information with ICAO, State and Territory government agencies.
- I have attached all required documentation specified in the applicant checklist and acknowledge that to knowingly make a false or misleading statement is an offence.
- I shall only use the drone/RPA as an individual’s personal and private purpose where there is no commercial outcome, interest or gain;
- I shall observe all statutory requirements relating to liability, privacy and any other laws enforceable by any other authorities within Zimbabwe.
- I am fully aware of dangers of negligent operation of an RPA/drone including but not limited to collision with other aircraft, with possible fatal results; injury to the public; damage to people’s property; legal liability for breaking laws such as privacy by-laws and other laws enforceable by other authorities within Zimbabwe.
