Vacancy Notice – Receptionist Intern



Reporting to the ATAZ Manager

Location: Head Office – Aviation Training Academy of Zimbabwe

Job Purpose

The position exists for recent graduates with  Diplomas, or Higher National Diplomas, offering them practical training, to create future talent pools.  The position also exists to ensure efficient service at the front office both for internal and external clients.

Duties and responsibilities

  •  Manning the Academy’s switchboard, mail handling and receiving clients.
  • Makes business calls upon request.
  • Receives, directs and relays telephone messages.
  •  Handles incoming and outgoing mail and parcels that passes through the Reception.
  • Maintains a mail filing system for the Reception.
  • Typing documents.
  • Maintains a safe and clean reception area.
  • Ensures the switchboard  is functional and all faults timeously reported.
  • Complies with Reception procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains an adequate inventory of reception office supplies.
  • Receives clients and  directs/escorts them  them to relevant departments or offices.

Qualifications and experience

  • 5 Ordinary level passes including English
  • Completed a Diploma/Higher National Diploma in Top flight management, Secretarial Studies, Office Administration, or a relevant field with Distinction.
  • Aged between 22 to 26 years old

Skills and Competences

  • Fluency in verbal and written in English.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy and typing techniques.
  • Multitasking.
  • Great customer service
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
