As we touch down from a productive year and take off into 2026, we reflect with pride on the
progress achieved through the collective commitment of our stakeholders to safety, security,
regularity and service excellence in Zimbabwe’s aviation sector. Thank you for your dedication,
support, cooperation, collaboration, and confidence in the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe.
Under the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1), we strengthened our airspace management
infrastructure, welcomed new airlines into the Zimbabwean skies, had Aviation Training Academy
of Zimbabwe (ATAZ) certified as an ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Bronze Member, and enhanced our
regulatory framework, among many other milestones.
As we embark on National development Strategy 2 (NDS2) our focus will be on strategic
infrastructure upgrades, development of a Civil Aviation Master Plan, capacitation of ATAZ to
International Standards, implementation of the State Safety Program, strengthened consumer
protection environment, improved safety and security oversight and promotion of domestic
aviation.
We remain committed to fostering a safe, more inclusive and sustainable aviation enabling
environment in line with our Mandate and National aspirations
