CAAZ Scheduled For International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) 21 – 28 June 2023

Harare, Zimbabwe | The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) has been scheduled, by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), for a follow-up audit referred to as the ICAO Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) from the 21st to the 28th of June 2023.

The ICVM is an exercise where a team of ICAO Auditors shall be in the country to check on the implementation of the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) on all non-satisfactory Protocol Questions (PQs) that were raised in the 2019 full scope audit. A higher Effective Implementation (EI) score, signifies efficient implementation of applicable ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices.

The Authority therefore, requests all aviation operators including air operators (charters, airlines), airports, aerodromes, navigation service provider and other stakeholders, to fully cooperate and render the necessary support before, during and after the audit.

The Authority remains committed to deliver on its mandate, ensuring full compliance to the global aviation safety and security standards.

Note: The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), is a specialised agency of the United Nations, created in 1944 to promote the safe and orderly development of civil aviation across the world. Currently, Zimbabwe is one of the 36-member ICAO Council.
